I finally saw the complete action movie starring James Remar on youtube. Ferguson's score is very good, and there is A LOT of music in the film. I think I'll rate this as his best score, and if the film had been more known, the score had surely been mentioned among the best synth scores of the 80s, being similar to works by Levay, Chang, Fiedel and Snow.

I still haven't got a copy of the score though. which is rather frustrating. It was released on a Macola Records LP, and I'm searching for the LP or a CDR copy. Anyone???

Complete movie:

This score deserves a CD release!!

the maintheme was used as a theme in Dream Warriors - Elmstreet 3 in the European market to back in the 80´s print (in the beginning instead of Dokkens into the Fire). My brother actually has 2 LPs of Quiet Cool and it´s a nice score smile

OK, can you ask your brother if he wants to sell one of them?

I remember watching the movie years ago and liking it. James Remar's one starring role as an action star? Found it on DVD some time back.

"I'm on a mission, I'm gonna be nobody's fool. They're gonna face quiet cool."

Jay just told me that he used an Atari 800 as the sequencer program when he wrote this score. Ah, those were the days...

And Tina Turner's sax player is performing the sax.

I wonder how many copies of the Macola LP was released back in the day.

250? Even less? It's impossible to find.
