a) actively looking for a job
b) finds something better than the last one
c) is happy with their home life just in case "b" is not true

Good Luck!

Of course, every rabbit used for this purpose knows full well that he sacrifices his foot for the good of many. smile

I truly wish all of you the best of luck in finding meaningful work that pays the bills and gives you plenty of extra to support your love of music.

I don't need a job, just income. wink

(j/k)

I don't have a job at present, actually, though in my case it's because I'm busy being a student. I do intend to get an assistantship or something next term, though, to have a little more money, but I'll still be devoting more time to studies than work.

"Where is everyone"... in the literal sense, Sis? Well, I'm a grad student in anthropology at FSU; I live in Tallahassee, Florida, USA. How about everyone else?

Well, I am in Hellville, I mean, Belleville, NJ. I suffered the unfortunate layoff going on 2 months ago and the job market is the worst that I've had to deal with. I may have something in the line of work soon, but it will mean a pay cut of about $10,000. Which means, I will have to rush out and get a 2nd job to cover the difference.

This economy sucks. It really does. I hope it rebounds some time soon.

I made a post once on both FSM and MM that said something like, "Where the hell is everyone?"

Literally, i have been posting for like 3 years and it seems dead now. There have poped up periods of deadness.

Could it be there has been said all there can be said about film music? No, it can't be.

ED KATTAK If it makes you feel any better, my company was the victim of "consolidation"---our competitor bought us out and shut us down. So I've been gainfully unemployed for over seven years. Fortunately I've been living off of money I was saving for a house. Waking up every morning knowing everything you worked for and those many years of three hours of sleep mean nothing----Hmmm, I don't need a rabbit's foot-----I need to marry someone rich (my buddy, Anna Nicole Smith, gave me the idea). I hear Britney Spears is wealthy and single. I just hopes she like to listen to John Barry and Jerry Goldsmith.....

Dragon, I'm sorry but I don't know anyone in your area who is hiring journalists.

Ed, I've been searching for you with no luck in my corporation or nearby ones. Can you e:mail with the name of the place where you have that chance of a job? Just curious smile

SIS: Thanks for the concern. My former company's competitor was driven into the ground by its former top guy, who's now retired. The parent company, located in your neck of the woods, sent a new guy to see if he could put Humpty Dumpty back together again. So far he's just tweaked a few things, not the house-cleaning a lot of people, including me, expected. I'm still waiting. (As soon as Anna Nicole collects her $88 million in California, she said she'll take care of me so I'll never have to worry about anything again.....but after seeing her on the witness stand at the trial in Houston, I'm worrying even more).
