I ordered the UK version and on the front of the cd it says Compact Disc Recordable.

So I'm assuming that the UK version is a cdr.

Question:
The Amazon US entry clearly states you'd get a CDR if you ordered it there: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B017OKMUZQ

But the Amazon UK entry doesn't say that: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B017OKMUZQ

Has anyone here orderd the UK version of the CD and if so can you confirm its a real CD and not a CDR?

It's a CDR. The label-info shows "Mod" after "Watertower" which means "manufactured on demand".

Ah, good to know, thanks for that!

How sad Horner's final film score can't be purchased on a real CD....

I did have good intentions to see this film at the cinema and experience the (final?) Horner score first time with the film.
But the film only played a few days at my local cinema and had one showing a day..mid-afternoon!!
The film also got quite mixed reviews, so my planned cinema trip never happened.
Anyway, I finally watched the film last night via the old dodgy box!
It's not a great film. What my missus calls a 'Sunday afternoon film'.
It's not awful or owt, just a bit TV movie-ish.
But the score is text book Horner. Tense where it needs to be. Contemplative when required. Lovely and soothing like only Horner can do. Full of his tricks and licks, but familiar and reassuring nonetheless.
The CD is on it's way and I will be listening to it quite a lot, based on what I heard last night.

This one didn't catch on for me quite the way Wolf Totem and Southpaw did (I still haven't heard Pas de Deux -- I'll get to it!)

I had/have no intention of seeing the film ... and had the check (IMDb, probably) what the film was about when I saw the film title come up on a list of works by Mr. Horner. Yes, I'm so out of touch with modern cinema!

Anyhow, as I then had access to TIDAL streaming, FOC, it was worth a go and I enjoyed it enough to add the title to my will buy it one day list ... which, admittedly, only ever grows longer ...

Not a great score, sans visuals, but certainly enjoyable enough.

Mitch
