I'll put in a plug for one of my own uploads. This comes from the 50th anniversary of Pearl Harbor which is the latest point in time when the story could still be told primarily by those who lived through it.

Do you recall or have access to a documentary series from 1995 called Victory in the Pacific? It was future disgraced CBS reporter Dan Rather and General Norman Schwarzkopf. It is among the best documentaries I've seen chronicling America's war against the Japanese in WWII.

Plastic Galaxy- The Story of Star Wars Toys

7/10

Thank you for posting this. It's interesting.

(and fun to see that almost none of the collectors are wearing shirts that have buttons.)

The Beginning: Making Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace

Compared to PLASTIC GALAXY, the first 5 minutes of this are coming off slow. I wonder if I'm going to make it through it.

Five minutes? I find your lack of attention span disturbing.

It's gonna be great, but don't take my word for it:

Not lack of attention span, dearie. The people talking are super-dull and talking about something that came off super-dull. It didn't surprise me that it was dull.

Not the best Edgar Varese doc, but it's the only one not in French.

Been on a Brit history kick, and this one from the Beeb is next on the to watch list, "Secret History: Winter of Discontent."

"Over the winter of 1978-79 a series of industrial disputes over pay rises caused major disruption and had a significant impact on the popularity of the Labour government. Secret History explains the background and speaks to many of those involved."

Let's see if Big Jim can stop the country's bleeding.
