This is a title that has been floating around on Williams' resume for a long time, but the information on what episodes he did is flimsy at best.

Does anyone (Jeff?) have any more steadfast evidence of his involvement with the tv show (1957-1962)?

The only confirmation we have so far is this:

Season 4:

Episode 32: "Threat of Death" (aired April 25, 1960)

Jim Hardie is after Crail gang after a holdup in Dobie when the sheriff and several others were killed. He catches Johnny Crail but unknown to Jim, Johnny has help from an unlikely source and no one in town will help him with his prisoner. I've not been able to find this episode.

Episode 33: "Dealer's Choice" (aired May 2, 1960)

Hardie is assigned to deliver an expensive diamond to wealthy Sacrament lumber man for a payment, but the gem he has is a duplicate meant to be intercepted by the daughter to disguise the fact she lost the original gambling. I've not been able to find this episode.

Episode 37: "Man for the Job" (aired May 30, 1960)

Wells Fargo sends Jim Hardie to Goldfield to help setup a new station that will be shipping silver. Jim is forced to hire an old employee suspected of helping rob Wells Fargo a few years ago in Tonodah when the original hire looks bad. I've not been able to find this episode.

Season 5:

Episode 1: "Day of Judgement" (aired September 5, 1960)

Jim Hardie is on the trail of Eli Fisher but first he must contend with a strange looking man on his own trail. They are both after Fisher so when they trap Fisher in an abandoned town, Jim is as scared of the other man as he is Fisher. I've not been able to find this episode.

He scored episodes of the last two seasons (5&6) along with Morton Stevens and Harry Warren.

Interesting. That would be from 1960-1961. Do we know how many and which ones?

Bump. I'm still looking for confirmation (and preferably a source) of his involvement in this show.

I can have access to Season 6, but as i see in an episode here, there's no credit for the music of the episode.

Hope it's not like this in the rest..

edit: By the way, you could add in your first post the one episode mentioned here:

Ah yes, that's one. Again with my forgetful ways! Added it to the first post.

According to Jeff, there are at least two more. Hopefully, he'll reveal them in due time.

Season 4:

Episode 33: "Dealer's Choice" (aired May 2, 1960)

I've not been able to find this episode.

for what is worth, the episode has been released on DVD:
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/dvd-tales-of-wells-fargo/17898238

But who would pay that just for one episode?
Also 22 out of 34 episodes of 6th Season have been released too in a best of final season compilation.
But as I've said I can check the complete season 6, in these days probably..

Edit: Checked first 16 episodes of 6th season.
4 had cut credits.
In the others, except for 2-3 which had only a theme credits, the music was by a Richard Shores..

Governor where did you get that information?

So, i checked the whole 6th season.
Apart from the four that had cut credits, 1 episode from the others had credit for Morton Stevens, and the rest had either only the theme credit, or music credit too for Richard Shores.

No Williams I'm afraid, unless he's in any of those 4 episodes.

By the way, TALES OF WELLS FARGO , is now running two episodes every evening Monday thru Friday on the Starz-Encore Western Channel. Right now they have started Season 5, but I don't think they will be doing Season 6 which expanded to one hour each episode. Friday, April 14 Jack Nichoson will appear in an episode titled That Washburn Girl.

Oooh. I would have loved to see that. I've seen every single film that Nicholson has starred or been otherwise involved in, and a handful of TV episodes, but I'm missing that one (and a few others).

I said in a previous post that I checked the whole season 6 except for 4 episodes that were recorded with cut credits.
Unfortunately I was stupid enough not to note down which were they.. razz

Alright, so season 5 plus four episodes of season 6. Do we know for a fact that he did nothing prior to season 4?

Wow, after years of searching, complete seasons of TALES OF WELLS FARGO suddenly show up on demand — and in beautiful condition.

Williams scored the first episode of Season 5 ("Day of Judgment")

Bob Thompson scored the next three episodes of Season 5, Morton Stevens scored Episode 5, Thompson Episode 6, and Stevens the next two. That's all I have access to at the moment.

Whenever this gets bumped, I think it's a new Williams project
