Yep!
I get special thanks in Lalaland's Big Trouble in little China and a shoutout as "creative consultant" on Prince of Darkness and They Live.
For each of these, I provided high quality scans from my massive John Carpenter collection. In the case of They Live, I did a little bit more.
Was honored and thankful to be a part of them!

The folks who put together the Elfman/Burton box set were thoughtful enough to ask the posters at this board for ideas and suggestions for the release and were kind enough to thank all such contributors by name in the acknowledgements section of the book that came with the set.

So I'm in there.

No, but I've been referenced in at least two Wikipedia entries, though I'm not sure if that helps or hurts my academic standing.

I think a more important question is "how does one get thanked in a CD booklet?".

Yes:

1. Musical: A Fine and Private Place (A Musical Play) 1999
2. Musical: Taking a Chance on Love: The Lyrics and Life of John Latouche (2000 Off-Broadway Cast)
3. Back in the lp days, I submitted my name as a "fan" to be listed in a forthcoming Todd Rundgren lp (this was a promotion that his record label came up with) -- when that double-lp release was issued, it came with a large poster of Mr. Rundgren's face -- made up cleverly of all of the names that had been submitted. As I recall I helped comprise Mr. Rundgren's nose.

I was thanked in the Elfman/Burton book and I was looking forward to getting thanked in the Moonraker booklet... oh well. smile

I'd like to get thanked in a Star Trek release one day... but I'll obviously have to do something to deserve it first.

Not a soundtrack, but I was thanked in one of Rhino's "Rare Soul" discs, volume 3 I think.
