'Preciate the advance notice about the changeover. Got on your & LK's case last time; you guys were more than courteous this go 'round. Thank you. Sorry if this all sounds snobby.

I'm happy to be back. The layout seems to be the exact same as the moviemusic.com site.

personally a bit of "exploitation" don't bother me much, so long as it's explicit & can be thwarted easily should circumstances warrant http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/smile.gif"> personally i've always preferred to stick to my cartoonish vt persona, but as one who respects the art of masks i usually find it amusing & harmless when others assume a variety of characters & proceed to have a conversation with themselves, as it were http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/smile.gif">

Loran, I get a kick out of your resurrection of all the old,
beginning threads. Your delight in getting to know us and
in trying to figure out our various personalities is most contagious.

It takes a little time to get to know the various personalities of
our posters, but our traits eventually emerge. My claim to fame
is that I am one of the few women on this Board.

Tell you about vulcantouch? Ahh, when he sees your post, I’m
sure he’ll chime in. By the way, if he “mizspels” something, it’s
intentional. He’s our resident wordsmith, fellow John Barry lover,
and superb provocateur. (How am I doing, vt? http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/smile.gif">)

Looking forward to knowing you, your music, and your musical
preferences.

That's the annoying feature that doesn't let you send two posts to the message board within one minute - you have to wait before you can send the second one.

>>Is Norway as beautiful in person as it is in all of the pictures I have seen?<<

Depends on what pictures you've seen, but yes, it is.

Indeed. Summer 1997 was when I got access to the internet for the first time, and FSM was one of the first sites I visited. http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/smile.gif">

Yup! I looked it up: sure enough, December 1997 was when the original mb went up. I wasn't a frequent poster until several months later when I got better internet access.

Man, it seems like a LIFETIME ago!

Heh.

Wedge, I think I hardly posted for many months, though visited regularly right from the first day when I found the board. In one of the first messages I posted, I asked if anyone knew what music was being used for the Insurrection temp track - and everybody got mad at me. http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/wink.gif">

Hey! I know it's too late to suggest ideas for the new board, but I just visited a board that had an IGNORE LIST function!

That's right! Put someone on your "ignore list" and you never have to read their posts -- even inadvertently -- again! Instead, their name will appear, and where the text of the post should be it says: "This person is on your ignore list. Click HERE to view the text."

You even get the option of viewing! You can now be a subjectively selective elitist in the privacy and comfort of your own home!

Does this mean that that guy who signs on as "Jerry Goldsmith" is going to have to use his real name?
