I think I may be the only person who liked Jupiter Ascending and thought it was great. embarrassment

I thought it was a love letter to most of the major sci-fi films of the last 40 or so years. I kept pickig up so many references (Dune, Star Wars, 2001, The Matrix, Superman, BTTF, The Last Starfighter, to name a few).

Mila Kunis in slinky outfits. Channing Tatum in pixie ears, bare chest, and eyeliner, looking like he walked off the set of "Magic Mike 3: Mike Does (Sydney Gay) Mardi Gras". That guy who was Stephen Hawking overhamming so tastelessly it was as though he knew he was going to win the Best Actor Oscar.

Stunning visuals and design, with fun action sequences.

A film that refreshingly tried to be an original sci-fi fantasy blockbuster without being another comic book adpation or franchise extension.

What's not to like?

Sighs...

Does make me wonder how we'd all react to the original Star Wars if it was only released now.
("Did he just implicitly compare JA with SW? eek eek eek Burn the demon!")
