I've been watching and really enjoying this odd new program, but what really has stood out for me is the electronic score by Mac Quayle. I don't know if it is intentional ( feels like it must be ) but the score really has nailed a very good Tangerine Dream vibe.
Given it is electronic, it may not be for the majority here, but wondering if anyone else has been enjoying the score? It'd be nice to see this get some form of release, even a digital album.
I just watched the premiere episode last night and was struck by the music as well. I immediately thought it was something First Breath might like, then realized how much I dug it too. I actually thought it was most effective not when it has a lot of heavy lifting to do (ie, making scenes of a guy hacking feel urgent and suspenseful) but in the overall mood setting and sonic world building.
Composer Mac Quayle confirmed on Reddit that a score album IS in the works. Excellent news ! He'll announce details when the album is finished. Really loving the score here, the best electronic score I've heard in some time.
Great news! I have mixed feelings about the show, but the music was delightfully retro and would make a great album!
For me the show was excellent up until the last 2 episodes of the season, when it just imploded. But the Tangerine Dreamy score is excellent. Very eager to see what makes it to the soundtrack album.
News from Mac Quayle on his Twitter account: he has just delivered the masters for the Mr. Robot soundtrack on Lakeshore Records, 51 tracks, 2.5 hours of music, 2.42 GB.

Great that there will be a soundtrack, but that's a bit over the top, I think. A succinct 50-minute program would have sufficed.

I concur with the moderator.
Have watched the first 5 eps and am increasingly losing track of the plot(s). ANd, who woulda ever thought USA Network would portray explicit gay sex! Times have certainly changed brm
Just started this show and I'm 5 episodes in! It *shouldn't* be this good, but it's insanely binge-watchable! The score is absolutely phenomenal, and since I couldn't wait for the official release, here's my cover:
"What’s perhaps most gripping is the show’s wonderfully fleshed out world, the uniquely poignant – and often melancholic – soundtrack by Mac Quayle..."
I can't wait for this, and I'm glad I'm not the only one! I just recently discovered this show, so it's convenient the album(s) will be available shortly
I recently finished the first season and rewatched the whole season The plot points I had trouble following are now clear.
The music for this show is truly extraordinary and I can not wait for its release. Check out the lighthearted score from the last episode that accompanies The Swede's entrance to Foscoiety's Coney Island hideout! Just brilliant!
che3ck it out! brm
ps who is this MAc Quayle guy. IS this the composer who went by the name McQ?
