Boy am I glad I finally bought this. I have been playing STAGECOACH nonstop since it arrived. I have to say I think I even prefer the LP presentation to the original score tracks. Goldsmith western awesomeness!

It's funny how the film and score THE HEROES OF TELEMARK is familiar to a lot of people here, but the actual Norwegian county of Telemark probably less so. I've been there many times, also at the exact location of the heavy water operation during WW2. In fact, I bungee-jumped off of the bridge to the facility some 12 years ago. I posted a video on Facebook awhile back: https://www.facebook.com/tjhaga/videos/vb.530696277/45324126277/?type=2&video_source=user_video_tab Can't view your content (maybe only visible to your friends).

Try again now (and sorry for derailing the thread about my own misadventures). OK, that was scary!

This is an excellent Intrada release. Stagecoach has long been one of my top favourite Jerry Goldsmith scores. I got my copy of the LP signed by the man himself in 1975 backstage at The Royal Albert Hall after the Filmharmonic '75 concert. He also signed In Harms Way for me. I watched Stagecoach last Friday night on the TG4 Channel, and surprisingly enjoyed it very much even though I had seen it many times already. The script was a bit too 'talkative' in my opinion, not a patch on the original John Ford version, but it had an excellent cast!

My favorite scene is when you can clearly see a truck or camper driving in the background. I can’t believe they didn’t reshoot that scene.

Got it for completist reasons, realized I enjoyed the score immensely. That is the phenomena called "The Magic that is Jerry".

I wonder if zardozspks also had track 2 in mind with his comment. Besides, I'd rather pay one of our fellow fans 10x the cover price for a copy on April 3. Good idea. April 1st, 2019: April Fool's Day April 2nd, 2019: last day to buy TELEMARK from Intrada. April 3rd, 2019: track #2 "Stupid Fool" gets played for all those who didn't buy this disc.
