Does anyone know if the "complete" score of this wonderful soundtrack will ever be released ? I've just watched the DVD and there's loads of music missing from the "Harkit" CD edition.
We're fortunate to have 30 minutes of this score but any expansion would be welcome. Fabulous score.
The loss of Komeda at such an early age was a tragic event for his family and friends but also a severe loss for our film score community to lose such talent.
Anyone who wants this score needs to buy his album "Astigmatic" first.
I've never heard that one ?
OB makes a great point. I’ve been listening to Komeda quite regularly over the last few months. Mainly the more-accessible Crazy Girl, but also Astigmatic. I mainly listen to them on YouTube when washing up and similar drudgery. Highly recommended!
I think this is pretty much a lost case - like the Ron Goodwin Miss Marple scores and "Hot Millions" by Laurie Johnson. This is not the only case were there is a huge market for a soundtrack release, but no source material. If it weren't for the composer's archive we'd have nothing at all...

And I've never seen an "unmentionable" of it either ? A great pity.

TG, slightly off-topic but I find this strangely "addictive"....
