Any chance for some new Albert Glasser releases in 2016? I'm always in the mood for some music from Burt I Gordon films! Maybe a CD release of The Fantastic Film Music Of Albert Glasser?

one of the few thread titles which deserves an exclamation mark, given the loudness of his style.

The music, like The Truth, is out there. In the meantime, here are some nice unreleased tracks:

I would love to see that old album released on CD. I remember liking the suite from THE AMAZING COLOSSAL MAN particularly, and THE BOY AND THE PIRATES, which Kritzerland expanded and put out on CD. I seem to recall Bruce said something about THE CISCO KID being a future possibility.... or did I dream it?

I don't know if you dreamed it or not,but THE CISCO KID would be the Albert Glasser score I would want the most.

I'll buy a copy of Glasser's THE CISCO KID. The TV series had some exciting music. Glasser learned his craft under Max Steiner and Erich Korngold ...... not bad!

Albert Glasser is an underrated composer. I'd welcome more recordings of his music, beginning, indeed, with a CD release of that pioneering collection.

First off, we had a nice little suite from Amazing Colossal Man on one of our Glasser CDs. And Cisco Kid is still a possibility.

Trying to figure out which release...was it a hidden "easter egg"? Or actually the bonus track from "Attack of the Puppet People" on "Boy & Pirates" release?

I think we've gone through this AMAZING COLOSSAL MAN thing before. I think Bruce was confused about the ATTACK OF THE PUPPET PEOPLE suite on the BOY AND THE PIRATES CD. AMAZING COLOSSAL MAN exists in complete or near-complete form, as does GIANT FROM THE UNKNOWN and SAGA OF THE VIKING WOMEN, although I can't say what actual tapes are available (maybe only cassette copies of some of the scores at this point, unless Glasser's reel-to-reel tapes were donated to some university).

Yep, I, too, would like to see more Glasser in the hands of the general public. I thank Kritzerland for the CDs they HAVE put out, as well as the early LPs put out by Starlog and Screen Archives.

Prince and Albert, two names that seem to go together. Someone's finally letting him out of the can.

Al Glasser and I were longtime friends. It's rather unusual since I live in Florida and he was in California. I visited him and his wife in their home many times over the years. His was a unique personality, but both he and Shirley were so kind and sensitive to me. Our first contact was when I was still a boy and loved Ferde Grofe's Rocketship X-M score, which Al orchestrated and conducted. Ferde referred me to Al, and I called him. As a result, Al sent me a tape containing the RX-M score. Years later, after completing college, I made a trip out west, and we hit it off right away. He made lots of tapes of his music for me and introduced me to Eric Korngold's work. I have a CD of The Fantastic Music of Albert Glasser. If you are interested, you can contact me at ilipscomb@cfl.rr.com.

You still have the tape of the score Rocketship X-M? Didn’t MMM release a copy of the 33 because the tapes couldn’t be found? Dragon Domain could possibly tackle that next.

Not I don't think so, that's a MMM title and I'll let them look into that.

We have a number of other titles we're working on right now that we hope you'll enjoy.
