I understand every-think Spielberg spoke the earthquake erupts - funny how there isn't a director booked I like too keep positive instead of sniping off different composers.
So Spielberg pulls out & everyone assumes Williams will snub Indy, ok - just too let y'all know there not joined at the waist, why wouldn't Williams want too close his legacy of 5 he actually loved working Indy with rumours of JJ that's another positive collab.. nothings changed yet.

Oops. JJ Abrams directed the last Star Wars movie, that movie wasn't my tea but there friendship is supposedly strong that is good for Williams on projects.
Not sure why JJ Abrams was brought up here. The Variety article that broke the news says that James Mangold is expected to take over as director.
Because he's the coronavirus of Hollywood who kills everything he has contact with. Hopefully he'll be to busy killing Warner/DC properties to get his infected claws onto the Indie franchise.
If Mangold directs (and I'd much rather see him do it than Abrams), I'm sure we'll all get that Marco Beltrami INDY score we never knew we really wanted.
