Well Nicholas Meyer is back to number two on my favorite filmmaker list!

Let me speak up for Meyer's "Volunteers"

Notable for:

Another great Tom Hanks and John Candy pairing
James Horner score - is this still unreleased? Or did I miss a quick 1000 unit run from somewhere?
Tom Hanks meeting future wife Rita Wilson

It was also one of the first films I saw on VHS :-) The film misfires occasionally but overall I enjoyed it.

I didn't mind his "Decievers" either with future 007 Pierce Brosnan and a great John Scott score, I have it on LP.

I like his use of different composers throughout his work - Rozsa, Kamen, Horner, Eidelman & Scott
