Ah yeah, I had forgotten about this announcement. I remember googling what "NFT" was last year, but I didn't understand it then and don't understand it now.
Even the person who described what an NFT was to me made possibly the worst analogy I've ever heard. Coming from memory here but it was something like this: "Pull out your phone and look at a picture of your family and see how happy everyone is. Now if you ostensibly own that picture as an NFT you will enjoy that same happiness you see on your face in the picture every time you look at it." My friend has lost a lot of money on NFTs. I suppose he didn't buy the picture with the happiest expressions.
