Acquired an advance copy of the Shefter/Sawtell masterpiece; have not listened to it all yet. Important improvements for those who had the LP: distortion significantly reduced in final choir track; also the weird pitch anomaly on that same track has been rectified. All in stereo.
And no doubt sourced from that very same vinyl, as they have done with several other U.S. scores released on lp in the 1950s. Kritzerland supposedly has some older Fox scores in the works, wonder if this was one of them?
Will A DOG OF FLANDERS be issued as a CD and also be available as a digital download on itunes ? All of Disques Cinemusique recent releases have been downloads only.

The 20th Century Fox record label on which A DOG OF FLANDERS had appeared in 1959 is nowadays owned by UMG. So as long as Bruce doesn't have any good connections there this score can probably not be released by Kritzerland. And who else would officially release DOG OF FLANDERS on CD in the USA?

I bought some of the other Disques Cinemusique releases e.g. Vìctor Young and the sound was pretty atrocious. Why throw good money away?

Gentlemen, I understand your feelings. If I knew the music on this download, now on CD-R , would come out on CD I would wait for a proper release. The chances of that happening,especially now ,are nil. Over the years I have had absolutely no problem with CD-R's. The music is beautiful for me. Best wishes to both of you. Let's hope we see John Scott's HAREM on CD in the not too distant future.
