Dang, that's bugging me now.
My son has Shazam on his phone, so he tried it for me.
But the movie dialogue was loud enough to confuse Shazam into thinking it was "Queen Bitch" by Bowie. LOL

I don't have a smart phone and last time I checked, you couldn't use a PC with Shazam, so thank you for trying. At least you figured out the Bowie song, that's interesting to know. That ends after a minute so there's plenty of the mystery song left to use, and the dialog dies off.

No idea. Sounds kinda like SPK (Graeme Revell's band from the early days).

So, I had my son do it again with the end of the clip and EUREKA!, you were right. Gene Loves Jezebel.
Cool tune.

Holy crap, thank you, and thanks for having a son!!! I thought I checked all their albums online 10-15 years ago and never found anything, but this seems to be a case of hiding in plain sight. Looks like it was a single, and added to a CD album in 2005.
I probably won't have the same luck with the 1960s MGM 45 I can only hum from memory.
Thanks again for solving that 35 year old mystery. smile

Playing samples on Amazon, the primary album I recall liking was PROMISE. Here's a pretty cool track, although today they would have named it 'Corona'

I passed along your thanks to my boy.
He's a good kid and he's always glad to lend a hand.

Hey, someone should add the answer to the comments in the actual YouTube vid.
I can't--I don't have an account.

Like father, like son, eh?

If you mean commenting on my video on youtube, I was simply going to delete it.

Oh, that was you?
It makes sense, I guess.

Well, it's all in a day's work for...

...Bicycle Repair Man!

If you're talking about the "Help identify 1980s song" video.

Well, it's all in a day's work for...
...Bicycle Repair Man!

LOL. That's my earliest memory of Monty Python, and was my "didja ever see this one?" if the show came up in conversation. Now that I think about it, fixing or changing a bicycle tube is a herculean task, even if it is mundane, which is probably why they chose it.

The icing on the cake is that final shot of Palin in his coveralls speedily striding away.

I would be interested in checking that out too. I've liked their work ever since an old colleague of mine gave me a CD-R sampler some 10-12 years ago. "The Rhythm Thief", for example, I've always found fascinating on so many levels.

The entire Badfinger output, i.e. up to 1974. I'm not sure if I want to explore all of the post-Pete Ham tracks.
