So hard to believe that there is still one copy of THE CAINE MUTINY left ; let alone something like 199. When did so many people start enjoying ". C- R-A- P " ?

I have to say I’m really surprised Ten Commandments is in the low quantity spectrum.’ At the same time, I’m really glad I managed to get ahold of it when I did.

The second half of the score presentation has many tracks that sound as bad or worse than any unmentionables I ever heard. Dreadful. I find much of it unlistenable. All the more frustrating after hearing and enjoying the first half of the score which generally sounds pretty good. If it's out-of-print soon, that might be one obstacle less in the way of a much-needed re-recording of the full score. How wonderful it would be if Tadlow could muster the resources for such an undertaking. This score (and The War Lord) is crying out to join the ranks of Mr. Fitzpatrick's recordings of King of Kings, Quo Vadis, Fall of the Roman Empire, El Cid, Ben-Hur and The Vikings. Of Intrada's discs, the only one I play with any kind of regularity is the beautifully-presented DOT highlights recording. One of my all-time favorite albums made to sound better than ever.
Fanciful conspiracy theory: Any chance Intrada is letting this one expire because they themselves have plans of their own to re-record it with Mr. Stromberg?

I kept passing on it every time it was on sale, but the release of Williams' The River had me casting about for more examples of pleasant Americana. I finally gave the samples to Lady In White a listen and it sounds like it will fit the bill quite well. Maybe with a little extra bite at times?
Has anyone noticed that the website page for the re-recording of Ivanhoe has disappeared? I don’t recall ever seeing it being placed in the danger zone prior to noticing it gone.
