I see what you mean. The cartoon version is much more of a "manly man of manliness"™ than than his live counterpart. Still confused about the dumb part though as I recall that his character wasn't the dimmest bulb of the crew.

I saw only a few minutes of the Scooby movie, and the few moments I saw of Fred he did dumb things. The women did the heavy lifting, intellectually and otherwise.

And while the live-action Fred was not the hunk the cartoon one was, I think Prinz was cast because SOMEBODY thought he was good looking.

And I cannot remember how he behaved in the cartoon version. I was eating way too much breakfast cereal while watching back-in-the-day for the memory to be more than a blur. smile

If it was 3 meals a day, I would have chosen the one cereal that almost never made it into the house: Apple Jacks.

Check out.. Gone To the Dogs, its a BBC comedy drama over 3 episodes in 1991.. Warren Clarke is in it, he's a solid actor, Harry Enfield's is a useless actor, but, he actually does well in this, that it really surprised me.

Harry Enfield & chums is also ok.. his best role in chums.. is Leslie Norris the mad barmen.

Which ones were the himbos??

Watching the last GHOSTBUSTERS movie made me reflect on the "himbo," the male equivalent of the "bimbo". He is good-looking, dumb and should be funny.

But Chris Hemsworth was only barely funny, making me think either he didn't do a good job (a possibility) or the part was not well-written (the bigger possibility, to my mind).

Judge for yourself:

Judge for yourself:

Agree on Ghostbusters but from what I've seen Chris Hemsworth isn't funny at all. He just doesn't have any sense of commercial timing or delivery.
