The big finale cue is stunning too:

It takes a few listens to get into this score, it's a bit subtle and complex, but it's really one of the best of the year!

James, thanks for sharing these cues. They are great.

Glad to! The CD took forever to reach the US, since it's an import, so there wasn't much conversation about the score at the time the actual film came out.

I hope people revisit this lovely score.

I just got my copy earlier this week... lovely score for sure...
The favorite cue I think he mentioned in his note in the booklet...

I've just had a Patrick Doyle triple-whammy!

RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, followed by THOR and then on to this score.

Yes, I know, hardly a Holy Trinity in regard to Mr Doyle and his overall output, but I actually love ALL THREE scores and find there is A LOT to enjoy in each one (I feel the first two are unfairly derided due to their following convention in the modern/percussion chugga-chugga genre...and while that is somewhat true, what Doyle does within - and beyond - those conventions is extremely impressive and takes the formula up a few levels).

Anyway...listen to this...hella fun!

Haven't played it in ages but it is a delightful listen. Doyle does bring a bit of skill and freshness to the table. Quality chugga chugga.
