It's a wonky loophole with holes in it. But I'll accept it.

Yeah, in theory, Faith is the REAL Slayer from the end of Becoming, part 1 and till the final episode Chosen wink
Sort of....lol!

Btw, there is actually a cue from A New Man in the Collection from LLL, its called "Fyarl In The Morning"
(I will remove one of your nerd point for this one. Or maybe I can have mine back? razz )

And also, I know it says so in the booklet that it isnt, but that "Sacrifice" version in Bargaining 2 is the bonus track from the LLL Collection, or at least the crescendo. I love this version! It a bit sadder than the main one.

Continuing SEASON 6:

"Life Serial"
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6n6emi

Highlights:
  • 14:55 in.
  • 16:20 in. There's just something about Wanker's fight music theme/motifs that rub me the right way. I think this cue covers all the ideas, too.
  • 23:10 in. That's like nine minutes of plucky, playful material. I really do enjoy Wanker's material when he does it.
  • 37:07 in.
  • 40:18 in.

Special Note: No score from this episode was on the La La Land Records set.

Buffy: "Maybe it was evil lint."
Xander: "Okay, first tip of the day: When I introduce you to Tony the foreman, you might want to leave out stuff about blackin' out and evil lint."

Jonathan: "Stop touching my magic bone!"

    "Dead Things"
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5sz2bj

    Highlights:
  • 19:35 in.
  • 27:10 in.
  • 33:35 in.

Special Note: No score from this episode was on the La La Land Records set.

    "Entropy"
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6pc0cz (load slowed down some, but doesn't matter -- I'm not linking to these to forego paying, but so people can listen to the score I note)

    Highlights:
  • 0:44 in.
  • 18:18 in.
  • 26:55 in.
  • 37:09 in.

Special Note: No score from this episode was on the La La Land Records set.

It's likely I don't recall things in episodes I already went over, but how in Anya switching to a vengeance demon face and having powers? "The Wish" established her power lied in the green crystal she wore about her neck, that Giles smashed and she no longer had and became a regular person from that point forward.

Buffy: "What the hell is that creepy little thing doing in my yard? Did Willow put it there when I was dead? 'cause if I had known, I would have crawled out of the grave sooner."
(speaking of a garden gnome in her yard)

Three episodes remaining when I come back Tuesday.

At the very end Anya is meeting with D'Hoffryn in a dark room. We never see anything happen (the episode just ends) but its obvious that this is the moment she became a vengence demon again.

I cant explain the necklace thing though...lol

Yes, D'Hoffryn turned her into a vengeance demon at the end of Hell's Bells. Though it is not fully explained why he suddenly decided to give her a chance again, because back in season three when she begs him to turn her back into a demon, he rejects her. I'm not sure about the necklace, but I think Halfrek also has one in season six when she traps everybody in the house.

Funny fact (or not) about that episode (Older And Far Away). In this episode, Wanker already track music from two episodes ago, lol. But the cue I am thinking about is actually quite cool! Its sort nice and calm, but also creepy at the same time. It has some very slow piano tones.

Also, another (probably uninteresting) thing I discovered yesterday:

As I went through all the Anne score, I noticed that in the "I Blame You" cue from the scene between Giles and Joyce, there is actually some pieces here from the intro to THAT cue from Angel's "I Will Remember You"! Only like 20 seconds, but as I listened to it yesterday I just started hearing lines like "Morah's gone. We killed him!" and "but that's my problem now, remember, not yours".

I was SHOCKED!! As I'm sure all of you in here is right now as well...! lol! big grin

    Continuing SEASON 6:

    "Villains"
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6pjchp

    Highlights:
  • 17:56 in.
  • 27:15 in.
  • 30:01 in.
  • 34:45 in. This (as I recall) and the cue after the commercial break are by Tony Morales. I prefer the original version of the second part, which can be heard on an obscure Morales promo.

Special Note: No score from this episode was on the La La Land Records Volume 1 set.

1:00 in: Oh, come on -- really? An "E.R.," knock off after the events that happened?

Okay, I don' care about spoiling those bad BtVS comics. In the end of this episode we see Willow burn Warren's skinless corpse to ashes. In the comics, Amy finds skinless Warren in the crater of Sunnydale.

Buffy: "There are limits to what we can do; there should be." (if only comic book Whedon has listened to TV series Whedon)

    "Two to Go"
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6pjchq

    Highlights:
  • 17:14/24:00 in. Just short good pieces that I felt could work together rather than be left off.
  • 35:00 in.
  • 38:47 in.

Special Note: No score from this episode was on the La La Land Records Volume 1 set.

Oh, emotional Anya and Xander stuff. To quote CinemaSins: "Skip!"

Dark Willow: "Get off, super bitch!"

Giles: "I'd like to test that theory..."

Two reviews down, one to go...

I think season six has the worst finale, because I don't fully buy Willow's turn to the dark side, but that moment when Giles shows up is one of my favourites. Also, one of the things I hate about how season six ends is that we are never given the opportunity to grieve for Tara, because the plot has to move along and turn Willow into the villain.

And the less said about the Dark Horse canon comics the better. Angel dated Illyria! Giles is killed and then comes back as a little boy. Dawn becomes a centaur. Just nooo. I am happy they rebooted the comics at Boom and brought them back to high school. Finally we can stop pretending that the comics are canon again.

I was surprised that there was not more music from the S6 finale on the LLLR soundtrack, that's something I expected.

I really liked the s6 finale. It was such a step up after a very dull year (imo).
But yeah, a lot of stuff could have been better about it.
I was too hoping for some more s6 finale cues on the LLL release as it seems like Wanker (or Morales) made a lot of new stuff instead of just recycling old stuff. Maybe for Vol 2? razz

Btw, those two Tony Morales cues from s6.
One is called "Willow Kills Warren", but is this actually from when she kills Warren? Isnt it the scene/moments before she kills him? Should be "Willow Hunts Warren" instead wink

And "Buffy Confronts Demon". This for sure is from when Buffy confronts Willow before their fight in "Two To Go". Should be called "Buffy Confronts Willow". Unless Morales saw Dark Willow as demon.

About the 3 Walter Murphy cues from his promo CD. "Infatuation", "Buffy Snoops At Night" and "Zombie Attack". Only one of these are actually used in the show: "Zombie Attack" is used in the Prophecy Girl showdown, all though very chopped up. The two others, are never heard in season 1. Maybe they are from his rejected stuff from "When She Was Bad"?

You're right; neither is from Warren dying, but rather the hunt, broken in two because of the commercial break.

    Concluding SEASON 6:

    "Grave"
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6pq8ff

    Highlights:
  • 27:01 in. Yeah, that's the only other cue I'd take away from it.

Special Note: One cue was featured on the La La Land Records Volume 1 set.

Man, Jonathan's self redemption was short lived!

Okay, so season one Buffy was able to jump up and over the gate that locks the school premises. so, that hole they fell into, is about that high and she can try to jump higher; should be able to make it easily.

Dark Willow: "You're always saving everyone. It's kind of pesky."

    Ah thought so! (about Morales)

The cue at 27:01 is luckily on the season 6 dvd menu wink

I have also thought about that jump thing from season 1.
Why did she never do this again...?!
Maybe she just wasnt as "pretty spry for a corpse" as she claimed she was in Once More With Feeling.

    I have a tech question...

I own the UK / Europe version of the Angel soundtrack which is released by Virgin.
I have always thought the audio quality on this is a bit too sharp.

Do you think the Rounder US version would sound any different (better)?
Would I be wasting my money buying it again just to check if the audio is better?

I had it in my cart but just as I pressed the "pay" button it was sold out!

Oh well, bought the red one instead (2500 copies).

I like the art design, but I didn't buy it. I don't own a vinyl player and I feel like I should spend the little money I have on things that I can actually use. lol

I sort of even regret having bought the second FUNKO POP series, it's cool and nerdy, but really just a huge waste of space. lol
