Hearing all the fuss customers are making about the La-La Land Close Encounters Disc 1 being hard to remove from its spindle, I wonder who has a foolproof method of prying these kinds of well-packaged discs from the stubborn spindle without damaging disc or case or inlays?
1. Remove booklet 2. Coat entire CD and jewel box in vaseline. 3. Pull vigorously. 4. Once CD is extracted, insert CD in bench vice. 5. Insert medium-sized starbit drill head into spindle hole. 6. Connect power-drill to drill head. 7. Switch on power (always wear safety glasses). 8. Dispose of fragments in recycling bin. 9. Contact vendor and/or CD producers. 10. Request replacement, citing reasonable use clause.
