"Cagney & Lacey"

As I stated earlier in the thread, she scored only two episodes

"The Gimp" (4.15)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3fnx1mr1JI

Highlights:
  • 21:12 in. Coincidently the first cue I could find.
  • 22:45 in. A long cue, running three and-a-half minutes long.
  • 28:34 in.
  • 40:30 in.
  • 42:17 in.
  • 46:18 in.

Woodwinds, repeating string ostinatos, and some piano work -- over all this may be one of Walker's best scores to an episode of any TV series.

That's everything except one short cue.

    "The Rapist: Part 2" (5.10)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVGpTvHzwuc

For some reason she didn't score Part I.

    Highlights:
  • 7:34/8:01 in.
  • 30:05 in.
  • 31:19 in.
  • 40:54 in.
  • 43:26 in.
  • 44:33 in.
  • 46:55 in. Yeah, it's a short outro cue, but it's nice.

That's everything except two short cues. It's good, but it's not a top tier effort. Maybe a borderline second tier effort.

Nothing says "Christmas" like an episode about a rapist.

I hate to sound unhealthily obsessed with this score in regards to how often I bring it up, but is it okay that I often refer to Child's Play 2 as a S. Walker score?

I only heard it once, specifically to hear how clear it was that she wrote it, but didn't think it was as obvious as some of True Lies.

For what it's worth, ASCAP lists Revell for CP2 and a mystery composer with two initials "DP" (co-credited).

BMI has no listing that I could find.

Backtracking because I just found something...

    "The Notorious 7"

A failed 1997 pilot. I had to skip it because there was no load, but I've found the opening credits.

    Presumably composed by Walker:

EDIT: Video has been made private and you have to have permission to access it, but since there is no longer a PM system on YouTube for users, there's no way to get permission!

    "The Flash"

Finishing the two episodes that were not found at the time.

These loads are, incase anybody doesn't notice, slowed down.

    "Sight Unseen"
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6ue8dz

    Highlights:
  • 2:45 in.
  • 11:58 in. Opens with a kind of "Mars Attacks!" sound (which comes back shortly in the cue).
  • 15:09 in.
  • 18:34 in. I just love when Walker does that quick four-note running ostinato with brass. I hope one day to have all of it and make a dah dah Doom Doom suite.
  • 26:28/27:58 in.
  • 30:14/31:05 in.
  • 39:11 in. If I played this for you and didn't say where it came from, you'd have said "Batman: The Animated Series".
  • 44:33 in.
  • 50:52/51:42 in.

    "Tina, is That you?"
    https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6ugx5n

    Highlights:
  • 2:37 in.
  • 4:49 in.
  • 7:32 in. Big whimsical pacing music and light quasi-dramatic vending machine music.
  • 13:18 in.
  • 15:17 in.*
  • 25:06 in.
  • 29:01/31:28/35:46 in. Brass with a beat. These three can work edited together.
  • 40:49 in.
  • 44:48 in. Cellos, brass and a wooden blocks.
  • 48:27 in. More of the beat, but I don't want to spend time figuring out if it can be combined with the three cues already cited.

    * = CinemaSins voice: "They survive this. Also, this is cold-blooded murder, right?"

Unfortuantely, it's unlikely we'll be getting another score from the series. One: I seem to recall this being a slow and/or poor seller, and a months or two ago MV said it's getting expensive to release thigns from Warner Bros. (sigh)

Yeah, it's a shame it seem to have sold poorly. However, I'd purchase a volume 2 of Walker's The Flash with the remainder episodes' scores. The scores for this show were that impressive, imo. Blake Neely's scores for the CW version, which aren't bad by any means, just can't compete with Walker's work, imo. I know it's unlikely to happen but maybe LLLR (or any specialty label who's interested) could release a 2nd volume of 1000 - 1500 units instead of 3000 copies. Don't know if that would make a difference or not. Regardless it's unfortunate we won't be getting another volume of Walker's stellar work on The Flash.

Here is the one episode of "Tucker's Witch" she scored:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuMQfQwqCHE

As I noted, nothing worth hearing, but for those of you who just got to...

By the way, be sure to check out the unaired pilot on this channel. It features a totally different arrangement of Fiedel's theme music than what ended up in the series!

"It Came From Outer Space II"

    A 1996 direct-to-TV sequel nobody asked for.
Additional Source Music (According to IMDb): Kristopher Carter

https://adult.noodlemagazine.com/watch/-675567_163290867 (safe, at least in Firefox)

    Highlights:
  • 0:20 in.^
  • 4:41 in.^
  • 10:00 in.^
  • 18:23 in.
  • 41:47 in.
  • 43:56 in.
  • 50:53 in.
  • 53:27 in.^
  • 1:10:23 in.^
  • 1:12:06 in.^
  • 1:15:06 in.^
  • 1:20:08 in. Immediately followed by the end credits.^(both)

The score seems to be divided into two parts: the country-flavored orchestral cues, and the cheap synth stuff for the aliens. The cheap synth stuff is boring, repetitive, and considering what Mark Snow was doing on "The X-Files" for years and during that time, just inexcusable to me.

If I were releasing this score, I'd only include a sampling of the cheap synth stuff and then pair the CD release with another score to make up for the empty space. In fact, I'd only include what I cited above.

12:25 in: Next time any of you want to complain about the special effects in "Ghostbusters" (which look fine, by the way), I want to you remember these were done ten years after said film. Awful.

According to her credits at her official website, she orchestrated for (composer not specified) for the TV series "Palmerstown, U.S.A.".

Previously I didn't bring it up because there were not episodes available, then only select episodes. However, now the whole thing is up:
