Nothing new to add to this thread only my gratitude to Mr. Wyngarde for his work in the great ITC-series. Because of a sale on the Network site, I took a gamble and got me "Department S" and heavens me, what good gamble. A fun series with fun characters and a wonderful Wyngarde as Jason King, a pompous dandy who besides his foppish behaviour also shows his capacity as a true go getter. Such fun, and of course, there is his voice and how he uses it.
Then again, he played both a meager mousy actor and a reluctant king in "The Baron" episode "The Legions of Ammak" and did both fully convincingly. He was considered by his peers a very capable actor, and I must agree but most of all he is such fun in Dep. S.
Jason Bentley, the King parody of in "Detectives on the Edge of a Nervous Breakdown" episode 31 of "The comic strip presents" was the only fun thing in that episode. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGOpIzf-9w0
