Great to meet you, Ron! Thanks for the fantastic rundown of the experience!

Thank you so much Ron for sharing such a detailed diary of this once-in-a-lifetime experience!

I'm sad to hear that James seems to think this will be his last project. He's earned the rest several times over, of course, but if it's just a matter of money I'll bet he could try some smaller scale scores on Kickstarter and find success in getting them fully funded rather than only half funded. I know that probably rules out certain things he'd like to do with The War Lord, but I wonder if Night of the Hunter would be more feasible.

Wonderful summary of the entire event , Ron. Felt like a fly on the wall reading it. Cant wait to see the videos of the sessions when they are ready. smile

Just got around to reading your take on this Tadlow epic. Thanks, Ron! I am probably one of the very small band who consider KING OF KINGS superior to BEN-HUR. I certainly would have pushed myself to attend this if I had had anything close to the funds needed. Luckily I can live vicariously through you, and the others on the board, who attended this. Great to hear the minutiae of this momentous moment and look forward to probably my most anticipated Tadlow release. All mucho appreciated.

From what James has mentioned in the past, if he were to record The Ten Commandments, he would have to wait a certain number of years (I forget how many) after the Intrada release.

That was surely assuming the Intrada release would sound good. But with so many poor-sounding sections patched uncomfortably into the second half of Intrada's score presentation, the need is for James to bring a re-recording FORWARD, not put it back.

I have been out of touch on this. Any new updates on the project? I suppose the supporters are expected to start receiving 'the goods' in March or April?

I heard from James Fitzpatrick about two weeks ago that all of the choral elements had been recorded and post-production was set to proceed on schedule.

If memory serves me (at my age, it doesn't always serve me) the release date was to be in May and kickstarters were to get their copies a month sooner.

The work is all in the studio now and Frank DeWald is busy up in Michigan writing his liner notes. It's coming. Be patient. The end result will be worth the wait.

Sorry because of so much work to do on this release .... release will now be a bit later than May. Apologies, but I need to get everything perfect .....

Heck, nothing to apologize for. It's staggering to imagine the amount of work that went (excuse me, is going) into this project. I know it will all be worth it, total faith.

Heh, compared to most video game Kickstarters, this release will be done quicker than The Flash would have done it...

Would 'love' Tadlow to record TTC and agree about the Intrada release...

Didn't James say KING OF KINGS would be Tadlow's last release. If he has changed his mind, I would hope his next project would be the pretty much promised THE NIGHT OF THE HUNTER.

Well said. Rome was not made in a day, nor was Judea. Time passes so fast ! In fact I was not aware that we were so close to the goal...

But I want it NOW! Give it to me, I MUST have it.

Actually, I while I am really looking forward to this, I will be happy to receive it whenever it is done and ready. "Perfect" is preferred over "rushed". :-)

If it’s not asking too much, James, will you be using the choral overlays found on the Rózsa Treasury set for their respective cues (I.e. Mary Magdalene, The Disciples, Premonitions, etc.)?
