I really wanted to connect with these, but I just couldn't. Same with the Cliff Eidelman demos. Interesting to hear them, though! I don't know what it is that I didn't like, but it felt too busy? I also don't like Russo's because it's too obvious and simple, so there's no pleasing me.

Heard a lot of pitch issues and thin thextures, maybe also the orchestration. I’d be curious whether Bear McCreary submitted a demo

For me it's The Banner Saga, but its beauty is rather stark/bleak, so I guess I'd say it isn't for everyone. But definitely unique, personal, powerful writing like you don't hear in many modern film scores. Yavar
