Does anyone know if Jóhann Jóhannsson Score will be getting a release. Saw the film today and irs a lovely film with a beautiful score. Certainly deserves a release, particularly in light of his sad, premature passing.

I saw the film today too, and have to admit it was a real slog to get through.

But I liked the score, even though I had hoped it was more religious in nature -- more in the style of Jóhannsson's PRISONERS.

Hopefully, there will be a soundtrack release for this, as well as for MANDY (another of his last scores).

Thanks Thor. I enjoyed the film and was pleased with the alternative approach. I think the music reflected perfected the images on screen and a more religious approach would have been overwhelming. In my opinion of course! :-)

Interesting that there have been well over 100 views and no more comments. Obviously not much love for this score?

It doesn't have big cymbal crashes, symphonic swells and old-school action licks. So yeah, I can see why it doesn't trigger much interest here. wink

It would be foolish not to release as it should sell well. Have not seen the film, but I have never been disappointed by any of dear Johann's work. The man was an utter genius and had a soul as big as the moon. I'll take two CD's plus the vinyl.

Have come to this thread following Hildur Guðnadóttir's Bafta win. I have Joker and was looking for some other albums of her scores. Chernobyl would probably be a bad choice but Mary Magdalene sounds great from samples I've heard. I also missed the film but can pick it up cheaply on DVD.

You can also pick up her additional music for SICARIO.. still better than Joker.
