Yahoo just changed their terms of service due to new ownership or something. Plus they are sharing stuff with Verizon. Now I've got a zillion pages of Terms of Service to read. Ugh.

Funny this should be brought up. I normally dont read the TERMS, but a summary was displayed when I tried to check my email. One of the first things was this: ADVERTISEMENTS Yahoo may sell, license and/or display any advertising, attribution, links, promotional and/or distribution rights in connection with your User Content. This includes: analyzing content and information when you use our services (including emails, instant messages, posts, photos, attachments, and other communications), linking your activity on other sites and apps with information we have about you, and providing anonymized and/or aggregated reports to other parties regarding user trends. I emailed a "Yahoo specialist" asking does this mean YAHOO READS OUR EMAILS? They never replied. It's one thing to post "publicly" like on Facebook so their advertisers can attack you personally. But reading email...well, Google does it (in case anyone doesnt know that by now). Which seems alot worse than Facebook. I imagine Yahoo is just "keeping up with the Joneses" out of greed, probably encouraged by the dickweed who decided to deregulate the internet (instead of treating it like telecommunications with privacy) so we'd have "a choice." The "we" being the corporations.

It's one thing to post "publicly" like on Facebook and have that info attached to you so marketers can attack you. But reading email...well, Google does it (in case anyone doesnt know that by now). Which seems alot worse than Facebook. You'd think internet communication would have some default privacy, like telecommunications and physical mail. I imagine Yahoo is just "keeping up with the Joneses" out of greed, probably encouraged by the dickweed who decided to deregulate the internet so we'd have "a choice." The government is 100% corrupt and bought out by corporations. They run everything and do what ever the hell they please. Might as well wipe your @ass with the Bill of Rights. (The only one that apparently matters is the worthless 2nd.)
