Holocaust is going to finally be up for preorder next monday.

Some info:

We expect product to begin shipping the week of 11/26. If there is any delay from the plant to us due to thanksgiving we may be shipping closer to the end of the week. So please be patient, we proudly shipped all orders for our sold out Rain Man in 4 days (that was all me doing it so know I take this seriously and will ship asap).

Price is 13.99 (this is a test to see if fans will buy more of a release like this by pricing lower - success means we do this with any reissue release from the major labels - unfortunately we can't do it on studio reissues due to advances, mastering, tape transfers, etc, but if I see an option to do it, I might do it more often).

1,500 to start. If this sells as well as I hope we may make a few more for retail. Pricing will go up for retail so the deal is there to order direct or from SAE, Intrada or Moviemusic, our valued resale partners.

Transferred from Sony's tapes into 24 bit. James Nelson did his magic yet again!

Clips to tide you over (and contrary to what I was reading elsewhere there are no soundbites, dialogue - just beautiful orchestral music):

Always look forward to reading your comments. Thank you - Bryon Davis - if anybody wants to send me a note, I read everything - bdavis (at) notefornotemusic.com is where I read my emails.

Thank you, notefornote music, for reissuing the Greek LP The Next One onto CD.
The Time Traveler disc helps expand (if only slightly) the discography of music by Stanley Myers - one of my favo(u)rite composers.

Hoping that notefornote's championing of Myers' recordings from the 1980s is not limited to the Omega Entertainment productions, though. Director Nico Mastorakis is but one of Stanley M.'s collaborators (which include Nicolas Roeg, Volker Schlöndorff & Pete Walker).

Many of us have/had been under the impression that most of the master tapes from recording sessions done in the U.K. are long since disposed of. Yet, one by one, such so-called missing or dumped recordings have surfaced sporadically here or there due to any given title's cult following being strong enough to warrant such tape restorations for album releases. Trunk records issued Wilkinson's Blood on Satan's Claw a few years after Myers' own Sitting Target was unearthed by the Finders Keepers label.

I expect making deals with composer estates (Stanley Myers' son, I'm guessing in this case) are never smooth sailing, but, since both Walker and Schlöndorff are still with us, perhaps these directors could be approached to help assist in yielding a Stanley Myers soundtrack (or two or more) from their films?
Intrada did a half-hour suite on Cold Heaven three decades ago; maybe this one could be re-mastered & expanded as a C&C stand alone re-issue?
If nothing else, can straight re-issues of LP programs be feasible, like Ulysses, No Way to Treat a Lady, Otley, The Raging Moon, Lady Chatterley's Lover, etc.?

@ NFN.
Are there any plans/chances that you might also release the scores to Niko Mastorakis' first two features ISLAND OF DEATH and DEATH HAS BLUE EYES both composed by Nikos Lavranos on CD ?
