Was there ever one? Should have been! If anything ever was more deserving of a Theme!

The idea surely recalls for me Goldsmith's endearing "Strap of Love" Love Theme for THE SALAMANDER and Franco Nero.

Well, at least we got a Theme for a Floating Head in ZARDOZ.

David Munrow? Never heard of him.

The 70's! What a great decade for Movies on the Big Screen.

I cannot substantiate the rumor nor divulge my sources, but I heard it was the actual inspiration for Vangelis' "Chariots of Fire" theme.

Lukas said, "Always so proud of the discourse here."

Yeah, so much erudition in these topics.

When you have a message board devoted to a medium that would produce something like Zardoz, you're asking for it.

What did you expect, Lukas - Balzac?

Balzac or ball sack, great choice.

Looking at that picture in the first post, you realise some actors really are desperate people who would literally DO ANYTHING to be onscreen.
I mean, c'mon, who in the right mind would let that get-up be yanked on themselves and then shown to millions (okay, in Zardoz' case, 20 people).
Just bewildering.
But yeah, ball bag should have definitely gotten a theme of it's own. I think if Jerry had scored the film, ball bag would deffo have gotten a theme, but would he have ruined it with some scrote-like synth fart added to the mix?
Man, those boots weren't made for walking.

"Only a moron or a pervert would obsess over Connery's outfit. He wears what Tarzan wears and it's nothing to get excited about. His outfit is not what the movie is about."

I thought the second movement of Beethoven's seventh symphony was the theme for Connery's scrotum…?

A series of adventure films made for children in the 1930s is not exactly a strong nor compelling justification for Zardoz.

And I don't recall Tarzan wearing thigh-high dominatrix boots with his loincloth.

It's either this or Star Wars.

This is, in fact, what you get in retaliation to wall-to-wall star wars/star trek/covenants/prometheuses and "buildings get wrecked but nobody was hurt" never-ending marvel superhero discussion! wink

I cannot substantiate the rumor nor divulge my sources, but I heard they planned on using "Follow the Yellow Brick Road" from WIZARD OF OZ (while substituting a certain word that rhymes with "Brick").

Mark my words… Zardoz will eventually be seen as the most prescient movie ever made.

Geoffrey Unsworth was the cinematographer on ZARDOZ, three years before he did SUPERMAN THE MOVIE.
