Whenever I see the composer named JOHN LUNN listed in the film credits, I know the music will be excellent in every way. He composes for BBC, and I.T.V. U.K. Films and mini-series. His latest release is from 'Shetland', a marvelous police-drama series filmed on The Shetland Islands in Northern Scotland. The music is simply beautiful Celtic Scottish Music, I found it 'relaxing' to listen to on the c.d. I just received. If you enjoy Lunn's music from other films, or you think you may like to hear (something new?), Celtic influenced film music, definitely give this new release a try. By the way, have you seen the past 3 Seasons of 'Shetland'? What did you think? Personally, I cannot wait for the next season to be released to Blu-ray.

Yes, I have seen the first three series and the atmosphere is nice, no hurry to anywhere; very subtle and restrained. It helps that it stars one of my favourite actors of today, Douglas Henshall (I first discovered him in Primeval, a great series about dinosaurs wreaking havoc in modern day England). And the bleak, but beautiful scenery is a character all its own. John Lunn's Shetland is a must buy for me; his dramatic scores for Downton Abbey are some of the best in recent television. By the way, before ordering (fortunately I haven't yet), you should check this out (just read the reviews, please): https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07C8Q5K38/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_24?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AJUZ6S9J114LH I hope they fix the problem. You should enjoy this music Kari, the series is 'tense', the music is not! You mentioned about a series titled 'Primeval', 'about dinosaurs wreaking havoc in modern day England'. (but enough about Boris Johnson..) Actually, I've never even heard of this series before but it's available at Netflix, so just put 3 discs in my queue. Thanks for the heads-up on this! Honestly though, I cannot imagine Douglas Henshall in a series about dinosaurs. Laura Dern, sure, but Henshall?

It's one of my favourite TV series of all time. They just did. Screen Archives notified me that Silva Screen had a problem with the disc, tracks 7 & 8, or something like that. Screen Archives just sent me the CORRECTED disc yesterday. Nice of them to notify me, Screen Archives is a classy outfit!

Just finished watching Season 4 of Shetland on Britbox. Not sure if they have an exclusive for this series. Has it shown up on PBS or Netflix yet?
