Hi Folks, I'm sure many people are following my Indiegogo campaign (to make a sci-fi short film) on the main page. Just in case you're not, here's the latest update, below.

Visit the page at igg.me/at/skyfighter

Interstellar CD Box Set—Lucky Us!

Running an Indiegogo campaign is new for me and I have done my best to offer perks that offer good value to the donors. I was lucky to be given some great CD, LP and digital goodies by the soundtrack labels.

It turns out I was even luckier than I realized! The Interstellar CD release that Watertower Music gave me (25 copies) is actually the out-of-print CD boxed set that goes for hundreds of dollars on eBay and Amazon. Seriously, the cheapest one I can find on eBay is around $180, and on Amazon it's around $305.

I had initially offered this along with the other goodies as an Early Bird package of which there is one (1) set presently remaining.

I am now offering the entire bundle of SWAG for only $98 plus shipping:

From Watertower Music: INTERSTELLAR (deluxe CD box set package), Westworld (new TV series, season 1), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 (deluxe CD package, size of an LP case); LP of The Wizard of Oz; and digital downloads of The Omega Man (FSM master), Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Mad Max: Fury Road, Sherlock Holmes, Logan's Run (FSM master) and Batman Begins. (I can't even find the prices for most of these!)

From Kritzerland: A Boy Named Charlie Brown, the classic 1969 Vince Guaraldi/Rod McKuen soundtrack to the first Charlie Brown feature film (the spelling bee one). This is out of print but retailed for $19.95.

From Quartet Records: Two 3CD sets, Kiss the Girls (Mark Isham plus Carter Burwell rejected score) and The Bad News Bears Trilogy (music by Jerry Fielding, Craig Safan and Paul Chihara). These go for $29.95 each.

From composer Penka Kouneva: Two great concept albums from Varèse Sarabande, The Woman Astronaut ($17.98) and The Rebirth of Id ($13.98).

From BuySoundtrax: Dumbstruck CD (documentary score by the late Daniel Licht, first 20 units autographed by the composer). Retail price of the non-autographed copies, $9.98.

I can't even figure out what all this stuff would cost you on the open market but I am pretty sure $98 plus shipping is a massive discount!

The Interstellar box alone would cost hundreds of dollars and oh yeah, there are now only 24 copies available—because I'm keeping one!

Why am I undercharging? Well...because I'd rather this stuff all get to a good home than stay in boxes in my office. And because of the entire spirit of giving that has let this campaign be successful so far (over $16K so far out of the $25K asked).

After all, if you want to pay more, you can—just make an extra donation!

But you don't have to. I have always loved the music and want it to get to the people who enjoy it.

Any questions, please email me Lukas@filmscoremonthly.com, thanks!

The Amazon listing I found says "currently unavailable". There is a review for this version of the soundtrack by someone who says they bought it (from an Amazon seller) for $12.00.

Anyway, why is it called the "projection box set"? Does it project something?

There is a gizmo inside that projects something, yes:

Well, I'm in. I'm surprised they aren't all gone yet.
Best wishes on the film.

Wow, Lukas! It seems as if Hans Zimmer IS helping to fund your Kickstarter after all, if indirectly. wink

I wonder...
Did many or all of the buyers just want the "Docking" cue?
Check out the Amazon reviews.
