We are at war. Naturally, we are all going to want to discuss it and our feelings about it. The reason this side of the board was developed was for this very purpose! This side of the board is where all Non-Film Score Discussion belongs! I am making an attempt (and I hope not a futile one) to persuade everyone at this forum to keep their off-topic (anything other than filmscore music) discussions on THIS side of the board. Please...let's show each other the consideration that I know we are capable of, and let's not clutter up the filmscore discussion side of the board with off-topic subjects. Why is this so difficult to understand and comply with? We are fortunate enough to have this side of the board for this specific purpose. Use it properly. Thanks, everyone.

I would agree, except people being people, they have hot-headed moments and just want to post wherever.

Cat, I'm with you 100% on this. Here is where the war/political discussions belong. That's why this side was created, for crying out loud! It's really quite disrespectful of the board and its members when people start those threads on the film music side.

I must confess I broke down and posted to one of those threads last night, and when I woke up this morning my posts had been erased (along with everyone else's) by the loony "your_worst_nightmare". Serves me right, I guess!

So THAT'S why I can't even get on there anymore! Thanks for clearing that up for me, as I was once again ready to toss the old puter out the window! smile

I didn't really think this concept would be beyond comprehension, or so unbelievably difficult to comply with. People will be people, I guess, but it would make me wonder what kind of people we're dealing with here. People with no self-control? People with no respect? Or people who just don't give a damn?
Respectfully...CAT

I was THIS close to posting a 10-page rant about that, on the other board last night. But then I realized it was off-topic. wink

I think you may be onto something here.

By the way, Cat, I discovered that that thread on the other side which I thought had been erased is in fact still there. Now you have to scroll to the right to find all the posts (if you want to keep up with the feudin' and fightin').

Bwahahaha. big grin

Alas, I dare not post it. T'was very mean and condescending. But if I was a Moderator, boy oh boy... I'd give so many topics the boot. I'm surprised those, what, 3-4 flamewars are still going. I WOULD CRUSH ZEM UNDER MY BOOT!

(Newsreel music starts up, and camera takes on an Evil Dictator angle.) FEAR ME! FOR I SHALL NAG FOREVER!

wink
