After several weeks of hiatus, 24 returns tonight. I saw one commercial which featured very loud rock music---I hope this is restricted to the commercial and not the series. My guess on the new plot: the U.S. is so frustrated by its failure to eliminate Saddam by stealth fighters and smart bombs, that it decides to unleash it's most feared anti-terrorist weapon in its arsenal.....CTU's Jack Bauer. Jack is sent to Baghdad where he eliminates Saddam with prejudice. Before he left for Iraq, Jack realizes that his daughter, Kim, is a magnet for trouble and dangerous, perilous situations so he gives her a one-way plane ticket to the safest and dullest place in the U.S.-----Boise, Idaho. On board the Boise-bound airliner, Kim is shocked to find out it's being skyjacked by Saddam and his two psycho sons who have fled Iraq. They are aided in the skyjacking by a stewardess who's really Nina in disguise. It's revealed that the Saddam that Jack eliminated was really a double. On the airliner, Saddam randomly picks out one hostage from the 253 passengers and it's.....Kim (surprise, surprise). Saddam and his sons strap a container of nerve gas to Kim and decide to fly the jet to Los Angeles.....where Jack has just returned from Baghdad. Also on board is a hunky 21- year-old U.S. air marshall, just divorced, who is attracted to Kim. While trying to disarm the nerve gas bomb, the air marshall and Kim exchange telephone numbers. Then Kim tells the marshall the nerve gas bomb will detonate when the jet reaches LA.....in 24 hours. The marshall then asks Kim if she's involved with anyone. Then they overhear Saddam talking on his cell phone to someone named, "Sherry".....
