Folks,

To save time and effort in not having to waste my time and money trying out bad quality trash bags, I'd like to know what your experiences have been in purchasing trash bags.

I had been using the really bad Good Sense thin-ply recycled plastic ones. These are terrible and often results in the bag ripping and contents spewing all over the place. I then decided, well, maybe I need to try the Good Sense oversized trash bags that are used for the large 30-gallon outdoor trash containers. These proved to be just as worse.

Has anyone used Glad or Hefty with satisfaction? Are these generally tougher strength bags than the other brands? Are recycled-plastic bags generally terrible and should be avoided?

I thought that I would reach a certain age and these kinds of decisions would be obvious. Now, I find my self just as confused as Woody Allen's religiously challenged character in Crimes and Misdemanors.

When I come home from shopping I just keep the bags my groceries and whatnot get bagged in, and line my wastebasket with them; I don't buy actual trash bags.

Ed, I tried those "trashy" (pun intended) Good Sense bags. What a waste of my good mooola.

Hefty is the way to go!

You've of course heard the term "garbage in, garbage out."

Now you know where it came from.

Darned if I know what it is. I'd figure that there's not too much more explored ground in this forum. And perhaps our choices of topics may be limited now a little more.

Plus, I really need to know more about Michelein and Trash bags!

Well, I can't really comment on Michelin tires, as I've always been partial (and had very good luck with) to BF Goodrich tires. And BTW: Dave Stern Tires off of Rt. 20 are very resonable and reputable.
As far as garbage bags...Hefty Cinch Sacs are my preferred choice! Hope this helps.
