Another episode of REAL CHEAP FOOD for the week's budget.
Now, you can make a wonderful nacho dip using Hormel Chili without the beans, some cream cheese, shredded Tex-Mex cheese, and some salsa.
The question is, has anyone ever attempted something similar with Dinty Moore Beef Stew? I should have stuck to Dint more or Denty, because the cans always seem to have real bad dents.
Ed, please do NOT attempt to make that nacho dip with the stew....ewwwwww; you don't want potatoes and carrots in a nacho dip. Stick with the Hormel Chili. Our family loves that dip! A real tailgate favorite!
Ed, it seems to me that it would be WAY MUCH cheaper to buy the salsa dip than making it yourself! Hell, cheese ALONE is more expensive than a jar of salsa. BTW, ARMOUR chili(With beans) IS THE BEST!

Hi, Sis! Ain't it great to be back here? I don't think that Ed meant he was going to try to make a nacho dip with the Dinty Moore, (I hope not anyway!) but I think he was looking to "doctor it up" and turn it into something a little more interesting. I really doubt this can be done! And Ed, those dented cans are NOT your imagination. That's what happens when they get that big giant guy to put his thumbprint on the lids of the cans. Sometimes I think he just gets a little carried away! CAT
Dennison's chili is what we use now. You may remember about five years ago, Hormel changed their chili to a "new leaner" style. It just doesn't taste right anymore! BTW, Hormel's tamales have changed too! They are now in a chili sauce! PUKE! But living here in the Southwest where WE KNOW how to make this stuff, I'm surprised any of it sells. I think it sells because of laziness. 1:30 in the micro and you're eatin
I'm feeling better, thanks for asking, CAT. Waiting for test results before I can have more tests conducted, but I'm able to work and enjoy myself when I have the time!

Yeah. But that beef, and cream cheese, and refried beans, with a layer of chunky salsa and shredded cheese on top. Put it in the oven for about 10-15 minutes at 325 degrees.
