As much as I love Piccioni I always wondered what if director Elio Petri had hooked up with Ennio Morricone, whom he would use for the rest of his life, a couple years earlier on this film? Morricone's penchant for innovation and new sounds during these years might have brought something extraordinary, as he would soon do on Petri's INVESTIGATION OF A CITIZEN ABOVE SUSPICION.
Their recent INGHILTERRA NUDA mentions the recently discovered tapes at the Piero Piccioni estate - more or less the same text appears in the blurbs for QR471 & QR472 (IL DIO SOTTO LA PELLE / COLPO ROVENTE). Claudio Fuiano is involved and those OOP Easy Tempo CDs are referred to.
Maybe Chris Malone is also wielding his magic for LA DECIMA VITTIMA...?
