It’s hard to believe that it has been three years since we lost two-time Academy Award-winning composer James Horner due to a tragic accident when his S-312 Tucano MK1 turboprop crashed 100 miles northwest of Los Angeles. He was 61 years old.

Over the course of the past few years, we here at CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO have produced a plethora of programming dedicated to Horner’s music. For this third anniversary of Horner’s passing, we thought it was best to share all of those programs here in one honourary post for you to rediscover again. And if you have never listened to ANY of these shows, then they are new to you.

Enjoy!

Thanks Erik! I still listen on a regular basis to his Wolf Totem score and for some reason I always associate that score with his demise. That last track 'Return to the Wild' always has me in tears. Hard to believe it's been 3 years...
