When back in my beloved Land of the Scrotes, I went into a place called a "shop", which sold "CDs" that you could look at and touch before deciding whether or not to purchase. I won't go into specifics, but I'd never have ordered half of these things over the "internet" (as I believe the young ones call it), but having them in my hands, some for as little as 2 quid, caused me to splash out. And I could not resist the temptation of one particular item of footwear - I'd never have bought that online. But I'm glad I've got it now. Guilty as charged.

I rarely post these and my buying has really slowed lately.
Well ed, if your buying has really slowed, you're still picking out the gems. FOREVER AMBER is glorious, wonderful, magnificent and heartbreaking - even if I still prefer the Raksin-conducted 25-minute presentation on the old RCA Victor release.

It truly is Graham. I edited my original post - meant to use composed/conducted by these two greats. I'll have to look up that RCA release.
