In the LaLaLand/Universal Heritage announcement thread, MV mentioned this series as something they want to do, eventually.

"To answer a few questions:

1. Exclusive to LLL? Possibly, but you never know.

2. Both original and expanded releases planned.

3. TV - yes at some point, with Night Stalker, Munsters, 6 Million Dollar Man at the top of the list.

4. Hope to have the first 3 out by years end, then starting in Jan 2019 every other month. smile

I'm currently listening to this CD at the moment....let's hope the Gil Melle and (Jerry Fielding) TV series scores are released soon.

Kolchak-wise, there were four composers on the Universal series: Gil MELLÉ, Jerry FIELDING, Luchi DE JESUS (a universal TV composer of that era), Greig MCRITCHIE (the arranger of Jerry FIELDING).

I recently bought the Kino Lorber blu-rays of the movies and TV show for a first-time viewing and have been loving every single second.

Would buy any CD release in a heartbeat. Good to see LLL is (hopefully still) pursuing it.

So it's a bootleg......I thought I had missed out on the real deal.

I'm watching the KOLCHAK: THE NIGHT STALKER bluray set for the second time---one episode followed by its commentary every Friday night like when I first watched the series back in 1974. On the commentaries, most of the writers and historians rave about the theme song.

Today is the 50th anniversary of the show.

I recently picked up some almost mint condition copies of the 1974 paperback editions of Jeff Rice's original novel and NIGHT STRANGLER adaptation.

Would be nice if we had some music to go with it, JUST SAYING

There is so much great thematic music in the Night Stalker series. This one is my holy grail for sure.
