In the LaLaLand/Universal Heritage announcement thread, MV mentioned this series as something they want to do, eventually.
3. TV - yes at some point, with Night Stalker, Munsters, 6 Million Dollar Man at the top of the list. 4. Hope to have the first 3 out by years end, then starting in Jan 2019 every other month. smile MV
Great news about Kolchak, Night Stalker - it might encompass Jerry Fielding's contribution as well. Melle's "The Sentinel" was mentioned among the first 7 movie titles to be released, probably by July next year.
Kolchak-wise, there were four composers on the Universal series: Gil MELLÉ, Jerry FIELDING, Luchi DE JESUS (a universal TV composer of that era), Greig MCRITCHIE (the arranger of Jerry FIELDING).
So it's a bootleg......I thought I had missed out on the real deal.
I'm watching the KOLCHAK: THE NIGHT STALKER bluray set for the second time---one episode followed by its commentary every Friday night like when I first watched the series back in 1974. On the commentaries, most of the writers and historians rave about the theme song.
