This is a very good B western. Henry Brandon has a fine role as a reluctant villain, while Leon Ames is the real baddie. It's actually a partial reworking of POWDERSMOKE RANGE, also released by RKO just three years prior. That one starred Harry Carey with Tom Tyler as the gunslinger who ultimately sees the light.
