It had much simplified titles, and fewer track numbers than the old Rhino version. While the new version contains the complete Blue Danube Waltz, it unfortunately abbreviates the 6-minute Ligeti Requiem Kyrie and omits the Karajan/Vienna Philharmonic version of Also Sprach Zarathustra that was actually used in the film. Lets re-release the soundtrack but this time with less music. Who'll notice? I've got the used-in-the-film recording of the Zarathustra opening with Karajan/Vienna Phil on Decca's Karajan/Vienna set. But I'd love to have the highest quality transfers of Blue Danube and the Ligeti pieces that I could get. And how about the La Gazza Ladra overture from A Clockwork Orange?
