The 3 CD Set will be getting released on October 23.

I wonder if the instrumental version of "They Won't Get Me" will be included this time?

One can only hope.

Jim Bowers was "Creative Consultant" on this project:

This can only prove that Superman: The Movie is not far behind!

Thor, are you referring to the songs that were on the OST and bonus disc of the BB? Or is there some rejected Moroder score that I'm unaware of?

The Moroder songs that were included on the original III LP were also on the FSM Blue Box; and I'm admit I always got a kick out of "They Won't Get Me". I own the Superman LPs for parts 1, 2, and 3 since the 1980s.

Never normally a complainer so please forgive me - but I have always wanted individual CDs with the film poster covers! Love what LLL did with SupIV so was hoping similar for II and III.
Maybe a licencing issue ?
Great to see these beauties released again though! Love a bit of Ken Thorne!

I'm sure raferjanders or one of the other talented cover artists in the custom cover art thread will happily oblige.

I agree. Had these all been packaged as separate releases, one for each movie, I might have been tempted to re-buy them. But I'm not a big fan of doubling up like this. Ditto the Batman remaster and Jurassic Part set.

That only really works if you access your music digitally.

Most of the art in that thread is pretty hi-rez, so a quality print from your friendly neighborhood print shop should look nice. Assuming you get the image you want.

Perhaps the liner note on the booklet inside will have covers for both films in "flipper" style, as LLL did with their Jurassic Park/The Lost World twofer. (Now we just have to hope if that's the case that LLL will share HQ versions of those...)

And indeed individual nice covers for II and III *have* already been shared at that link! Nice! I like how they match IV which will be great for my iTunes cover flow. Looking forward to seeing what's done for the first film now.

I'm curious why they included source music and songs from Superman The Movie on this release. I'm sure there's a reason, I'm just curious to know what it is.

Probably because they weren't able to fit it on the upcoming release of Superman: The Movie but wanted to throw it on this for completists because there was room.

Because they could.

Also, Completeness.

That pretty much confirms that the LaLaLand of STM will just be the existing two disc from the blue box then.

Are tracks 6 to 16 on disc two all on the Blue Box?

No. This is the world premiere release of "Sunday Meeting", "Late Night Country Music", "Lois' Pad", "Desert Riff", and "Kids on the Bus".

And Williams completists everywhere curse, since their Blue Box is no longer definitive. wink
