Hope Justin Boggan is doing alright, and any other FSMer in that area.

Absolute devastation in the pan handle. Surprised this didn't get more attention.

I'm afraid storms like these are the new normal.

Did you read my poem?

It spawned a tornado here.. I haven't had power for over 24 hours. We had three deaths so far.

EDIT: Turned out it was NOT a tornado... NWS came here and determined it was straight-line winds that caused the devastation.
We also had a LOT of mudslides, the most massive one was right behind me in my neighbour's back yards.
I was without power for 4 days and 2 hours.

I live about 5 miles from Jim; we lost power and it is still out. But we are fine.

I'm afraid storms like these are the new normal.

This storm seemed particularly extreme. It came from out of nowhere, and was a Cat 4 in no time.

And the governor of a state that depends on tourism for its economy does not believe in climate change, nor is he concerned with sea-level rise.

My daughter lives in Navarre, about 90 miles West from where it hit hardest. In her area some flooding occurred but not much else.

What's worse than having your city sink into the ocean? Having your city sink into the ocean, and then Kevin Costner shows up.

I regret to inform you that Justin Boggan has ... survived hurricane Michael. Though I almost bite the dust twice.

My online presence will be rare for probably a month or two.

Glad to know you made it. You always were tough as a 10-cent steak, Boggan. Any man who watches and reviews the DIRTY DOZEN tv series which starred Ben Murphy HAS to be.

Yeah, I'm all grizzled and shit. ;-)

I'll have a separate post about what happened and the devastation in Bay county, when I'm back online every day.
