David Arnold has revealed on Twitter that he is attached to score the upcoming BBC and Netflix mini-series "Dracula". The show is written and created by Steven Moffat & Mark Gatiss (BBC "Sherlock").

Excellent. I'd love to hear a gothic/darkly romantic horror score by Arnold -- who has basically prematurely retired from feature films, it seems.

I'm always up for another Dracula, and intrigued by what these gentlemen (including Arnold), might do with it.

Hopefully he gets an orchestra. Definitely a shame no one wants to hire him for films anymore.

Dracula by David Arnold in the vein of his Sherlock scores—count me in! (Neither pun intended, but I’ll take credit for them anyway!)

"Just a thought, but maybe he's not interested in bigger assignments, maybe he likes me time off.

Yes, that's true. He told me this at the rehearsals before the concert in Krakow. When he told me this, I wasn't surprised. He has everyting - the money, a good CV & the family."

That doesn't make much sense... TV scoring is usually even faster job and probably more pressure one as well with much longer running time of the content and need to produce more music... while in movies he "only" works on a project for eg 2 months, wouldn't a TV series such as Dracula or that other one coming very soon take much more of his time?

Still hope he'll be back for the new Bond at least.

He will give them (EON/Broccoli Family) Bond 25 score, if they will ask him for it. He writes this on Twitter as an answer a couple of times since a past two/three years.

Wow, he did Bonds what happened, Arnold, still baby-age in the composer world, I liked his Sherlock projects although surprised they were collaborated i didn't follow him after that. Drac sounds cool looking forward too it.

This sounds promising.
