Boy, the Seventies was a true ' Golden Age' for American cinema. Unlike today, Hollywood studios weren't content to just turn out predictable sequels and remakes!

The title wasn't in the first list of releases to be under the Universal Heritage series, but the Alfred Newman score for Airport (1970) could be expected or the rights to this one is a different story?
