Ah, okay. That's better than $24.98 each. But I really wish Varese had just been upfront about what the price increase for the individual releases was going to be. I mean...why not?

Just rewatched MBD.
Great main title but not enuf for me to purchase.
At this time.

Film is hit or miss like most films of its kind.. E.g. Mel Brooks parodies..
Helps if you understand the subject being satired.

Check it out!

Not familiar with 3 of the scores, and don't collect comedy film music, but I'll probably still order this unless it's too expensive for a blind buy.

And why does it matter what genre the film is? It's music, not film.

I thought it was obvious (?) most comedy scores have a different emotive effect than other genres - playful, silly, goofy, etc. It may work in the film, but not something I enjoy on its own.

The Grusin bundle product page listed the three would be available until January 4th at a special price. I figured that after January 4th that special rate would be gone which means they would be more expensive.

I ordered the bundle, but have spent most of my time with Murder by Death. Given that comedy scores are not my favorite listening, I was surprised how quickly the score passed, with a lot more variety than I expected. Yes, some silliness, some dated pastiche (especially the Oriental), but a lovely listen for a score that really does work on its own. And with some nice suspense passages.

I've enjoyed what I've heard of Absence of Malice, but it leans heavily on source music, which I have to be in exactly the right mood for. But sometimes am. Haven't gotten to Justice yet....

What?! Outrageous! Preposterous! Everyone knows film music is film music, genres don't matter!

Not gonna lie, I've never sat and listened to a single Dave Grusin score, so I'm on edge about taking this journey, but I've seen two out of the four films here and I'm optimistic!

Also been bingeing St. Elsewhere on Hulu for whatever reason, and that theme is...brilliantly infectious.
