Did they put it up early by mistake? Not that I'm complaining.

Hider In The House was the re-issue title.

To have this after so many years is nothing short of a minor miracle. And 64 minutes in reasonably good shape no less. For many of us, this is one of the major releases of the decade, let alone of 2018. There can be no higher peak. No further need to harp on about a holy grail.

Okay, some of us will overreact. But I remember watching Peter Proud in the cinema in 1975 and being haunted by that theme. So, thanks to the folks at Intrada.

I will buy this CD.

In fact, I already have.

I will listen to it when it arrives.

I intend to enjoy it immensely.

AWESOME!

I wonder why it is that exactly the first half of the score (chronologically) survived in stereo while the second half is only mono (IIRC though, the unmentionable of the score was all mono). As far as I can remember of the unmentionable, Intrada has indeed found much better sources and the sound quality is quite good!

Compromised sound but I can’t believe they found even SOME of it!

Curious what "audio anomalies throughout" means...?

You have any 40-year old cassettes lying around that were well-used? Pop one in, and you'll understand!big grinbig grinbig grin

Holy grail or not, the proof is in the pudding. To me it's one of those scores that's better than the movie. I'm not sure one needs to see it to enjoy this. Any Goldsmith fan, maybe any soundtrack fan, will be blown away.

Amazing!!! It's been a long wait but what a treat to hear some of those samples in stereo! Yes, it would have been great to have it all in stereo but as Yavar commented, the mono tracks sound better than the unmentionable. Thanks Intrada, this truly is a dream come true!!!

Yall might want to read the announcement page description which is slightly different from the store page.

Oh man, I love those 70's electronic tonalities that JG used that I can hear in the samples, reminding me of Logan's Run, Breakheart Pass and Damnation Alley.

Going by the sound of the clips (especially the latter half), I'm reminded a bit of the days when we'd see posts here advising us not to buy Harkit releases and to wait for a few years until one of our more esteemed labels could give us a better-sounding release.

And very often, they did!

But some things can't be helped. So as snarky as your point is, that's life.

Some lovely themes in the samples that are enough for me to jump on this. The rest I will have time to digest later. Sound quality is quite good considering its age and still much better than it could have been.
