Just saw this film tonight and thorougly enjoyed it. Great performances all around but what a score! Where's the CD when we need it??? Even the people at Decca Records won't answer my question. Just a brilliant piece of work.
I have seen the movie and listened to the score just a couple of times and it is indeed worth talking more about.
Britell - who I admit I didn't know anything about until recently - seems very talented. The score is exaggerating everything along with the director (I understand the movie stance between political and satire is not for everyone) , but it works great and make for very interesting and varied music. And is indeed more prominent that his "Beale Street" score (which had just a few interesting moments, like the kiss scene)
